Artisti – Alain Morales
Alain Morales valmistui nykytanssijaksi vuonna 1998 Kuubassa Narciso Medinan tanssikoulusta, voittaen samana vuonna useita Grand Prix -palkintoja sekä koreografiapalkinnon ”Alicia Alonso”. Hän kouluttautui myöhemmin kuuluisassa Tropicana-kabareessa ja syvensi osaamistaan kuubalaisessa kansantanssissa maestro Jonnes Garzian ”JJ” johdolla. Vuonna 2000 Alain muutti Italiaan Iré Batà -tanssiryhmän kanssa ja esiintyi muun muassa Maykel Fontsin rinnalla. Hän liittyi Seo Fernandezin Latin Black -ryhmään vuonna 2005 ja esiintyi salsa-elokuvassa Street Dance 2 (2011). Vuosina 2007–2012 Alain asui Norjassa opettaen kuubalaista kulttuuria ja nykytanssia, ja vuonna 2013 hän liittyi Alberto Valdesin johtamaan kansainvälisesti tunnettuun ryhmään Clave Negra. Vuodesta 2015 lähtien Alain on esiintynyt Euroopan merkittävimmillä latinotanssifestivaaleilla, kuten Amour de Cuba (Ranska), Made in Cuba (Italia), Baila Siempre (Tanska), Baila Baila Salsa Festival (Suomi) ja Salsa Mayoska (Kiova). Alain opettaa TSSW – Turku Salsa & Sensual Weekend -tapahtumassa 20.–22.3.2026! Älä missaa tilaisuutta oppia kuubalaisen tanssin mestarilta!
Artist – Alain Morales
Alain Morales graduated in 1998 as a contemporary dancer from Narciso Medina’s independent dance company in Cuba, winning several Grand Prix and the “Alicia Alonso” choreographic award the same year. He later trained at the legendary Cuban cabaret Tropicana and deepened his knowledge of Cuban folkloric dance under maestro Jonnes Garzia “JJ”. In 2000, Alain moved to Italy with the company Iré Batà, performing alongside artists such as Maykel Fonts. He joined Seo Fernandez’s Latin Black group in 2005 and appeared in the salsa film Street Dance 2 (2011). From 2007 to 2012, Alain lived in Norway, teaching Cuban culture and contemporary dance, before returning to Italy to join Alberto Valdes’ internationally renowned group Clave Negra in 2013. Since 2015, Alain has performed across Europe’s most prestigious Latin dance festivals, including Amour de Cuba (France), Made in Cuba (Italy), Baila Siempre (Denmark), Baila Baila Salsa Festival (Finland), Salsa Mayoska (Kiev), and many others. Artist – Carlos Correa
Carlos Correa on kokenut kuubalainen tanssinopettaja. Carlos syntyi Havannassa ja oppi jo nuorena tanssimaan kuubalaisia rytmejä synnyinkaupunginsa kaduilla. 90-luvulla hän saapui Suomeen ja alkoi opettamaan suomalaisia tanssikoulu Baila Bailassa. Pitkällä urallaan Carlos on matkustanut ympäri Suomea ja Eurooppaa. Hän on esiintynyt sekä opettanut monilla salsafestareilla muun muassa Suomessa, Venäjällä, Puolassa, Saksassa, Ruotsissa ja Baltian maissa. Carloksen opetus on selkeää ja johdonmukaista ripauksella huumoria. Hän opettaa sujuvalla suomenkielellä, mutta hallitsee muitakin kieliä. Carloksen tunneilla pääsee kokemaan kuubalaisten rytmien ainutlaatuisuuden ja merkityksen pintaa syvemmältä.
Carlos Correa is an experienced Cuban dance instructor. Born in Havana, he learned to dance to Cuban rhythms at a young age on the streets of his hometown. In the 1990s, he arrived in Finland and began teaching Finnish dancers at the Baila Baila dance school. Over his long career, Carlos has traveled across Finland and Europe, performing and teaching at numerous salsa festivals in countries such as Finland, Russia, Poland, Germany, Sweden, and the Baltic states. Carlos’s teaching style is clear and structured, with a touch of humor. He teaches fluently in Finnish but also speaks several other languages. In his classes, students get to experience the unique essence and deeper meaning of Cuban rhythms.
Meet our Bachata artists!
Sorush: Meet the creator of ”Let’s Play Bachata” – a fresh fusion style that’s changing how people experience dance. Sorush brings together the sensual moves of Bachata with the urban flair of Hip Hop and Reggaeton, creating something truly unique. With over a decade of dance experience and training from Sensual Bachata pioneers Korke & Judith in Spain, he’s mastered the art of making complex moves feel natural and fun. As both a skilled videographer and event organizer, Sorush brings a creative edge to everything he does. His teaching style combines solid technique with playful energy, helping dancers connect with their partners while expressing their own style.
Elise: Elise is a dynamic dancer who will inspire you to express yourself through confidence and high energy. She started when she was 5 and knows many different styles – from cheerleading to ballroom dancing. She’s also been in performance dancing, show dancing and teaching Zumba. In 2021, Elise started teaching Bachata in Tallinn. She quickly got the opportunities to teach at International dance festivals around the world together with her partner Sorush. Training with dance legends like Korke y Judith in Spain has deepened her understanding of Bachata’s roots, while her natural creativity helps shape the Urban Fusion style she shares with Sorush.

As a teaching duo, Sorush and Elise travel the world sharing their fresh take on Bachata. Their classes blend structured learning with creative freedom, helping dancers of all levels discover their own style while mastering the essentials. Their approach makes every class both educational and entertaining, creating an environment where learning feels like playing.

Kizomba Instructors: Baiba & Ainārs
Baiba discovered Kizomba around 2012 and quickly fell in love. Over the years, she has explored different styles within the Kizomba world — from Kizomba and Semba to Urban Kiz and Konpa — shaping herself into a versatile and thoughtful dancer. For the past nine years, Baiba has been sharing her passion as a Kizomba and Urban Kiz teacher at one of Riga’s largest dance schools — El Paso Social Dance Studio. She has also assisted various international artists in workshops both at local and international festivals.
Her broad experience gives her teaching unique insights — combining clear structure with creativity, musical interpretation, and body awareness. Known for her elegant style and ability to both lead and follow, Baiba brings a well-rounded understanding of partner connection that enriches her students’ learning experience.
Ainārs has been dancing Kizomba since 2019 and teaching since 2022. Over the years, he has participated in numerous festivals and weekenders, completed two teacher trainings, and made two inspiring visits to Angola, deepening his understanding of Kizomba’s roots and culture. He has also taught at international dance weekends, sharing his knowledge with dancers worldwide.
His broad experience gives his teaching a unique depth — combining solid fundamentals, musicality, and authentic partner connection. Known for his clear and patient approach, Ainārs helps dancers of all levels build confidence, refine their technique, and fully enjoy the dance.
Having taught together for over a year, Baiba and Ainārs now bring a shared energy and insight to their joint classes, continually inspiring and improving each other’s teaching — making every class more dynamic, supportive, and enjoyable. Their classes focus on technique, connection, and musicality.
Urbankiz & Konpa Artisti – Baiba & Tiia
Urban Kiz is a modern partner dance that grew from Kizomba in France. It was first danced to Ghetto Zouk, but today it fits R’n’B, Pop, Hip Hop remixes, lyrical music, and Afrobeats. The style keeps Kizomba’s base but is more linear, sharp, and technical: syncopated steps, strong posture, and a frame that gives partners space for footwork and expression. Legs stay almost straight, creating clean lines and musical precision. Still young and evolving, Urban Kiz draws inspiration from Hip Hop, Afrobeats, Tango, Brazilian Zouk, Bachata, and more—making musicality and creativity central to the dance.
Konpa is a Haitian music and dance style from the 1950s that has become popular in the Kizomba/Urban Kiz community. Its smooth, flowing rhythms can be danced in different ways, but the style has its own feel and movement. Originally faster (Konpa Dirèk), it later slowed into sensual Konpa Love, influenced by Zouk. The dance borrows from Merengue, Bachata, and Salsa, keeping partners comfortably connected. During guitar solos, dancers often switch to Gouyad, a closer, hip-focused movement style—now often seen as its own genre. In our class, we’ll focus on Konpa Love with a touch of Gouyad to help you feel the music and improve your rhythm.
